YuePaw's jet black ears twitched, her silver eyes were closed... She then opened one to survey the area. She was laying outside of the packs den and it was frosty and cold out... It was early in the morning and she had been on watch all night meaning she was quite tired, but being a gaurd she didnt want to sleep quite yet. Her chest rose and fell with each breath, an icy cloud came from her mouth each time. She hated the cold as it gave her a bad feeling, some sort of Deja vu she could just not remember what " Good morning Barook" came her soft voice, One eye remaining open... Her paws slightly damp from the snowy grass.
Barook padded out from the den and laid down on the cold wet grass, opposite side of the den from Yue. "Hello Yue. How are you this morning?" He asked her, his voice soft and quiet as usual. He looked over at the young female and noticed her wearyness. "Why don't you go in the den and get some rest. I can look out for the den for a bit." He smiled at her slightly and looked up at the sky. He noticed the sun as it peaked over the mountains in the distance and through the trees. He always seemed in a better mood when the sun's rays did this. He wasn't sure why, and didn't really care to find out. He looked back over to the female and waited for her reply with a slight smile on his sun lit face.
YuePaw's ears twitched once more and a warm smile crossed her face " Im great and dont worry im ok with being out here... its warmer then inside for some reason"she had said with a slight laugh at this fact. Now with both eyes opened a slight shimmer could be seen from the sun's rays falling over the area. She though with both eyes opened and smile bright, remained in a laying position as if it were more comfortable then sitting... " thanks for offering though , Barook " came her voice in a slightly softer whisper like tone.
Barook smiled at her still. "Ok, then. Your welcome." He said quietly. He looked back over towards where the sun was and sighed. "It is a little warmer out here than inside isn't it?" He chuckled a little. His coat shimmered in the sunlight as it had reached him by then. He tilted his head down, slightly tired. He wasn't sure why he was tired though. I know I got plenty of sleep last night. He thought to himself. Maybe it's from boredom? He wondered. He sighed a bit, shifting from his sitting position into a laying one. His white claws scrapped the cold ground as his stomach touched the the earth. He laid his head on his paws and closed his eyes, barely paying attention to anything anymore.
YuePaw closes one eye resting her head upon the snowy damp grass. Silver eye shimmered a little darkly from the movement... What is it that makes me hate the cold so much.. the shivers? the fear?.. What happened to make me hate it so much. Her ears twitched and she sighed and closed her other eye deep in thought " Barook? have you ever had a feeling you've forgotten something.. something important? " came her voice like a breezy whisper.
Barook was startled by the sudden question. Though it was merely a question to most, it some how got to him. He lifted his head and closed his eyes for a moment in thought. After a brief moment of pure silence, he spoke. "I suppose I have at some time or another." Barook breathed in deep and turned to look at the female. "Why do you ask? Do you think you have forgotten something?" He looked at her, almost with a look of puzzlement, though he knew how she felt. He hadn't much memory from before this time. He couldn't remember anything from when he was a pup at all. Though of course he wouldn't. He never tried to recover those lost memories, after all.
YuePaw sighed faintly as she reopened her silver eyes fully which sone in a meloncholy fashion. " I dislike the cold greatly but cant remember why anymore.. I think i blocked the reason away but do not remember why" came her soft and slightly puzzled voice. Why cant i remember when i was young, i remember wandering alone at 2 years but nothing before it.. what happened.. Ears twitched and her silver eyes closed half way as of feeling sad for forgetting her past.
Barook looked over at Yue, a still slightly puzzled look on his face. "Maybe you dislike the cold for natural reasons?" He asked. "I personally like the cold. Having a nice chill every now and then feels good. Much better than having the sun warm your fur to a comfortable spot and then have it warm you up more so that you feel on fire." He chucled once more at his comment. He always disliked the sun. It always seemed too bright to him. Everytime he comes out of a dark forest or den and into the sunlight, he felt like he was blind. He snorted a bit in disgust and laid his head back down on his paws.
YuePaw smiled faintly " that is a good reason.. it just feels like Deja Vu and makes me want to cry or to go somewhere warmer" came her slightly confused voice. i want to remember.. but dont know how anymore. Her silver eyes shone like the moon even though the day was still very sunny. She sighed and muttered her thoughts to herself before looking up at the sun making her eyes shimmer, she then looked back to the snowy grass and laid her head down again. She could smell the fresh morning dew and all of her surroundings smelled fresh yet.. cold.
Sakota bounded along the ice, paws crunching in the snow. The fae's ears lied against her skull, eyes locked on the ground ahead of her. She had just escaped from her old pack. Being alone wasn't quite safe with the alpha brute on the hunt for her. Panting in exhaustion, the fae stopped, glancing around. She was lost, but was glad. Maybe she had lost the brute. Flopping to her belly, the fae winced at open wounds the brute had given her while trying to forcably breed. Sakota buried her burning muzzle in the snow, letting out a soft moan. She hadn't quite noticed the two other wolves that rested ahead of her.
Barook looked over towards Yue, a slight smile across his muzzle. "If you cannot remember, no matter how hard you try, then perhaps it is a memory best left alone." He spoke softly and quietly. His voice echoing in his head. Yes. That is what I have decided. I cannot remember my past. Therefore, that must mean it is a memory that should be left dead to me. He sat there quietly, possibly in deep thought. After a few minutes, he spoke once more. "This shall be a pack of new memories. Those who cannot remember before and those who wish not to shall always be welcome." As he finished speaking, he heard the sound of someone running. He looked over and noticed a young female running towards their direction. He had a feeling she did not notice them, so he stayed silent until she came a bit closer. Upon his closer inspection, he noticed the scars and wounds inflicted upon her and immediately rose from where he laid. He heard her wince a bit as she laid down. "Are you ok? I can tell you are hurt. Don't worry, we wont hurt you." He spoke in a soft and gentle but firm voice.
YuePaw's ears twitch and she sat and looked towards the female, she was silent and waited for the female to reply to Barooks question and therefore the one in her mind dear heavens.. what could have happened to her. Her eyes were wide and her mouth opened a bit. wondering what had happened to the female.
Sakota instantly pulled her head up, ears perked. The fae sat up as her hackles raised. "I- I'm fine.." She answered in a soft voice, looking over the brute, then the fae. Sakota stood still, lowering her head. She wasn't sure if she was ready to join another pack after what had happened. The fae looked down at the snow and lowered her body, laying in the snow. Ears lied back once again, she slowly looked back up at the brute with soft, gentle eyes.
Barook looked at the new female, blue eyes shimmering from the sunlight. He could tell something serious happened, but decided not to ask incase it was too painful for her. If she wants to tell us, then she'll tell us if she wants to and when she wants to. Barook noticed as the female lowered her head. "Don't worry. Whatever happens, you'll be alright." He knew she wasn't part of his pack, but he didn't care. He knew to treat others nicely. If you don't, it just might come back to haunt you later. "Do you need any help? You'll find better shelter in the den." He offered.
YuePaw's ears twitched and she nodded " We dont mind strangers being around.. we love to help others" came her soft voice as she smiled softly towards the female.. poor thing... Her eyes shimmered softly as she looked over to the female. Her heart heavy at the sight.
Sakota looked back down, taking in a breath. "Er.. " The fae mumbled a bit then looked back up at the brute. "May I stay?" She couldn't be alone, the brute was probably still searching for her. The fae stood, hackles lowering. Blood trickled through her fur in many different places, causing her to wince. Sakota hoped that maybe she could stay, they seemed very nice. And, maybe she could join their pack. Hopefully that brute wouldn't find her.
Barook looked at her with soft blue eyes. "Of course you may stay with us." He smiled at her. He noticed her blood as it trickled through her fur. As he watched it run down her, he heard her wince with pain. "You seem to be in a great deal of pain. Lets go inside and let you rest." He nodded at Yue to stay and gaurd the den while he and the new female went inside. "I know you are tired, Yue. An'd I'm sorry to ask this of you still even though you are tired." He spoke softly to the black and white female, almost sorrowful to keep her awake from much needed rest for him. Then he turned to the brown female and spoke. "By the way, what is your name, if I may know?"
